The Forum, which pulls together representatives from key organisations from the statutory, voluntary and community sector has been established to help the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Division promote the financial responsibility parents have for their children and raise awareness of the Information and Support Service.

The Division’s staff have already been working closely with these organisations across Northern Ireland to reinforce the message that supporting children is the right thing to do. The Forum brings together these stakeholders to work in partnership with the Division with the aim of providing a more joined up service to separating and separated parents.

The Division has established an Information and Support Service which provides impartial information to help parents make informed choices about Child Maintenance.  This service also signposts to many of the organisations represented at the Forum.
