Child Trust Fund
The Government has introduced the Child Trust Fund to help you save for your child's future. The Child Trust Fund is a new type of long-term savings and investment account for children born on or after 1st September 2002, who qualify for Child Benefit. The Government will issue a £250 voucher to you, as long as you qualify, to kick-start your child's Child Trust Fund account.

Pension Credit
Pension Credit guarantees everyone aged 60 and over a minimum income. The Pension Service Application Line is the quick and easy way to apply for Pension Creditover the phone.

Tax Credits
Child Tax Credit:
You can claim Child Tax Credit if you are responsible for at least one child or young person. You do not have to be working to claim.
Working Tax Credit:
If you are responsible for a child or young person you can claim Working Tax Credit if you are aged 16 or over and work at least 16 hours a week. If you don't have children you can claim Working Tax Credit in certain circumstances.
