Information and Support Service
Child Maintenance and Enforcement Division Information & Support Service
It can be hard to understand your options for child maintenance, and to know what is right for you and your child, and where you can turn to for help.
The Information & Support Service provides impartial guidance and support to help parents make informed choices about child maintenance.
We understand that parents who live apart often need to deal with difficult practical issues linked to child maintenance, such as:
- Finances;
- Childcare;
- Working arrangements;
- Emotions;
- Stress; and
- All common concerns for parents.
We are not experts in these areas, but we can give you information and also put you in touch with specialist organisations that can help.
The Child Maintenance and Enforcement Division’s statutory maintenance service is just one option for securing child maintenance from the other parent but there are other choices open to you and we are here to help you decide which is best for you.
