Appealing

If you want to appeal, you should either fill in the form at the back of our leaflet How can I appeal against a child maintenance decision? (PDF 512KB) or write a letter to us that tells us
  • your child maintenance reference number (this will be at the top of the letter telling you about the decision)
  • the decision you are appealing against
  • the date on the letter telling you about the decision
  • the reasons why you think the decision is wrong.
Maintenance calculations can go up as well as down as a result of an appeal.
You can find out more about the appeals process in this section.
