Changes in circumstances

If either parent's circumstances change, it can mean that we need to change the amount of child maintenance that should be paid.
Parents should tell us straight away if any of the following changes:
  • work and money
  • location
  • family circumstances.

Changes to pre-2003 cases

We changed the maintenance calculation in 2003 to make it simpler and clearer. If your maintenance agreement was set up before then, in time, you may have to move to the New rules. Find out more about what the NICSA does.
