Customer Service

We strive to deliver a quality service which meets the needs of all our customers and current service improvements include

Meeting our customers needs

As a direct result of our consultation you now benefit from:

Services for people with special needs

If you have any special needs then we will do what we can to help you. If we cannot deal with your enquiry by letter or phone we may be able to visit you at home. We can also help you if you have any difficulty in completing our forms.

We can arrange to have some of our leaflets made available in Braille, large print or audiotape form. If English is not your first language our leaflets are also available in a range of other languages. If you require our leaflets in any of these formats please contact us on 0845 608 0022  and we will arrange to issue them for you.  Alternatively you can send an email to Belfast-Customer-service@dwp.gsi.gov.uk

Interviews

If your enquiry cannot be resolved by telephone or letter we can arrange for you to speak to a member of our staff at a time and place convenient to you. Visiting outside of normal hours can be arranged on request. You should tell us exactly what you want to know before the meeting is arranged so that we can give you all the information and advice that you need.

Aftercare

We have put procedures in place for aftercare of cases. We aim to ensure that cases where our customers have reported difficulties are corrected if necessary, brought up to date and monitored on an ongoing basis to ensure that they are correctly maintained.

Customer consultation panels

Customer Consultation Panels allow our customers, stakeholders and staff to meet and discuss areas where our customer service may be improved. Our aim is to work together to find solutions to the issues raised.

Contact us if you are interested in being involved in a panel or would like to be included in a pool of those we can call on for meetings.

Help us to help you

We are always pleased to receive suggestions to help us to improve our services and are taking action to improve areas where our customers have told us our service could be better.

We want to know how satisfied you are with the service you get from us and want to know how you think we can improve it.

We will carry out regular surveys to find out your opinions and ideas. If you have any comments or suggestions about how you think we could improve our services, please
