Addressing the Economic Downturn:

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the case for further public investment in social housing as part of an appropriate policy response to the deteriorating economic situation. The paper examines both the quantifiable and non-quantifiable benefits of investment in social housing and attempts to show that an expansion of social housing activity represents better value for money than many other types of intervention at the present time.
