Notice of Making a Vesting Order:

Land and Property at 35-37 Carrick Hill, Belfast (Formerly Upper Library Street, Belfast), 38 Library Street, Belfast, 155,157/161 North Street, Belfast and 40-44 Kent Street, Belfast
The Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991
The Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 1972
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Department for Social Development acting in pursuance of the provisions of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 and the Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 1972 made on the 28th day of April 2010, an Order vesting in the said Department the lands described in the Schedule to the Order such lands vested at 35-37 Carrick Hill Belfast (Formerly Upper Library Street) 38 Library Belfast, 155,157/161 North Street Belfast and 40-44 Kent Street Belfast.
A copy of the Vesting Order and the schedule and map referred to therein have been deposited at the offices of the Department’s Belfast City Centre Regeneration Directorate, Lesley House, 25 Wellington Place, Belfast, BT1 6GD and may be seen at all reasonable hours.
 

Appointment to the Charity Advisory Committee

Could you help charities maximise their investment income?
The Department for Social Development is seeking to appoint one member to its Advisory Committee on the Central Investment Fund for Charities. The Fund helps participating charities to invest all or part of their assets with the benefit of expert supervision. Fund managers (currently Newton Investment Management Limited) are responsible for the day to day portfolio management, but the funds investment policy is guided by an Advisory Committee.
Interviews will take place in late June and it is expected that appointments will commence on 1st August 2010.
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrable experience of investment and finance or the management of funds.
  • Effective communication, inter-personal and representational skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a team environment.
Please note these positions are unpaid, however, travelling and out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Time commitment – 4 meetings per year.
