The Masterplan for Bangor Town Centre which sets out the plans for the future regeneration of Bangor will be available for public consultation on 27th October 2010.

The Department for Social Development, in conjunction with North Down Borough Council, is now seeking comments on the proposal.

The plans will be on display for a total of 11 weeks from 27th October 2010 at the Marine Court Hotel and the 28th October 2010 to 14 January 2011 at Bangor Library, 80 Hamilton Road, Bangor.

Consultants will be available on the first day of the display from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 pm to discuss the plans.

DSD would now welcome comments on the proposed masterplan from all interested parties.

The consultation response on the proposal will be considered by DSD in finalising the Masterplan proposals for Bangor Town Centre.

The Consultation Document is available to any member of the public and can be obtained by going to www.dsdni.gov.uk/consultations or from North Down District Council at www.northdowndc.gov.uk.

The Department for Social Development wishes to draw attention to a public consultation on the inclusion of provisions in the Licensing and Registration of Clubs (Amendment) Bill making it an offence to hold irresponsible alcohol promotions. The provisions will affect on-sales and off-sales premises licensed under the Licensing (NI) Order 1996 and clubs registered under the Registration of Clubs (NI) Order 1996.
