Change of Address - Other Benefits
Permanent Change of Address
In most instances, a change of address should not affect a customer and/or their partner's benefit(s) but they should notify the new address as soon as possible along with any other changes in circumstances.
Details should be forwarded to their local Social Security or Jobs & Benefits office, who will redirect the post if necessary or the details can be posted direct to the benefit paying office.
If a customer and/or their partner are being paid by order book and wish to change their Post Office® they should complete a form P80MA at their new Post Office®.
On this form there is also a facility to advise a change of address.
They should notify any changes of bank/building society details immediately if their benefit is paid direct to a bank or building society.
Temporary Change of Address
If the customer and/or their partner are remaining in Northern Ireland and are receiving their benefit by order book they can temporarily change their Post Office® by using form P80MA at the new Post Office®.
However, if they are only going to cash their order book at a new Post Office® for no more than two "orders" they do not need to complete form P80MA.
