What is the Benefit Investigation Services Fraud Phoneline?
In Northern Ireland we have 3 dedicated phone numbers to receive allegations of Social Security Benefit fraud from the public.
What happens when you call?
You don't have to give us any details about yourself and we guarantee confidentiality. You will speak to one of our operators who will take the details from you.
What details do I need to give?
The more details you give the more chance we have of a successful investigation. The details we usually need are:
- the person's name and address
- what type of work they are doing
- where they are working?
- who are they are working for?
- do they work every day?
- how do they travel to work?
- do they own a vehicle, and if so, what are the details?
- a description of the person- age, height, height, hair colour, distinguishing features
- the partner's details - if they are living together as husband and wife
- any other information you think may be of help
