Statistics and Research Branch provides the Department, its Agencies and Public Bodies with a professional service covering statistics, management information, and research and analysis.
This work informs policy, planning and decision making in the areas of social security, child support and pensions, as well as housing, urban regeneration, community development and voluntary activity.
Information we can provide
We regularly publish information on housing and all the main social security benefits. These publications include a vast amount of information however if you require additional information you should contact us.
The branch maintains a number of detailed social security databases, which are analysed using SAS software. With the aid of a Geographic Information System we can examine benefit receipt at District Council, Electoral Ward and Enumeration District levels.
