Consultation on the withdrawal of three National Statistics publications

Following a review of the department's statistical and research services in 2009, Analytical Services Unit examined the use of three National Statistics publications:
In line with the guidelines set by the UK Statistics Authority, a full public consultation was conducted to assess the views of all stakeholders and customers on the proposed withdrawal of the National Statistics. The consultation process began on the 3rd August 2009 and ended on 2nd November 2009.
The responses to the consultation process were submitted to the minister for the department, with the recommendation that the production of the three National Statistics publications be ceased (Summary Document - Word 206KB). The minister has approved the recommended cessation of the publications.
While the three National Statistics will now be formally withdrawn, it is Analytical Services Units intention to publish two short bulletins containing headline figures and tables from the Pensioners Incomes Series and the Individuals Incomes Series analysis. These bulletins will be released on an experimental basis and are therefore subject to withdrawal, depending on customer usage, without the need for consultation.
See below for all responses to the consultation process. Analytical Services Unit would like to thank everybody who responded to the consultation exercise.
