Corn Market Area

This was the first area to be completed. As well as the new granite paving, seating and street lighting it included utility renewal and upgrade. A new piece of public art ‘the Spirit of Belfast’ was installed in Arthur Square in 2009 and has become a place where people meet. The street upgrade included:

The streetscape work has been designed to complement the look and feel of the public realm work carried out by the company Multi Development UK as part of the Victoria Square development.
