Laganside Grants

The Department for Social Development is continuing Laganside Corporation’s funding for Arts and Community Activities. From the 1^st April 2007 you can apply for a Laganside Events Grant and the Laganside Community Activity Grant.

A £300,000 funding package for a Laganside events and community activity grant was announced by the Minister for Social Development. This is aimed at encouraging arts, cultural and community based events in the Laganside area.

Laganside Events Grant

The purpose of the Laganside Events Grant helps to support events that

play a part in the regeneration of the Laganside area,
encourage local involvement and community and business participation and
make the area more attractive to visitors.

There are a number of areas where events can be held in the Laganside area such as:

Custom House Square,
Writers Square,
Cotton Court Piazza,
Barrow Square,
River Lagan and the
Lagan Weir and Tunnel.

How to Apply for a Laganside Events Grant

fill in Laganside Events Grant application form (Word 338KB) after reading the Laganside Events Guidance Notes (Word 632KB) and either post or email it back to us or
email laganside.events@dsdni.gov.uk for a postal application form

Laganside Community Activity Grant

The Laganside Community Activity Grant supports community initiatives by giving grants of up to £300 for community based events. These events must address the needs of the Laganside local community and continue to bring life to the area.
