The Volunteer Bureau Initiative (VBI)
VBI provides core funding of just over £1.1 million per year to support the network of 15 Volunteer Centres in NI.
The Volunteer Centres:
- Promote volunteering
- Recruit, support, train and develop volunteers
- Initiate, develop and support volunteering opportunities
- Provide training and support to volunteer involving organisations
- Encourage good practice
VBI is administered by the Volunteer Development Agency on behalf of the Department.
