North West Development Office
What we do
North West Development Office plays a key role in driving forward the regeneration and development of Londonderry and the North West, in a comprehensive and integrated way.
The most important areas of work are:
- Strategic physical, economic and social development of the city
- Individual and Community well-being
- Implementation of the department’s Urban Regeneration and Community Development policies and programmes
Areas of Responsibility
The North West Development Office assumes urban regeneration responsibilities for Londonderry and the neighbouring towns of Strabane and Limavady. North West Development Office will take additional roles in respect of overseeing the City Vision process and implementation of the Regional Development Strategy at sub-regional level. This additional role has been agreed by the Department for Social Development and the Department for Regional Development.
