Modernisation Fund

Purpose:

The objective of the Fund is to support voluntary and community organisations to modernise so as to allow them to become more sustainable and deliver new and better services in an era of change.
The capital programme will encourage collaboration and resource sharing among voluntary and community organisations through the development of physical infrastructure.  The programme will place particular priority on access to services and facilities for disadvantaged children and young people.

Capital Programme (£15million)

Detailed design of this programme is as follows:
  • improving access;
  • youth facilities provision;
  • partnership and collaboration;
  • cost reduction and income generation; and
  • the development of good relations between and within communities.
We are committed to investing £3million of the funding available to the capital programme on providing or improving youth facilities in disadvantaged areas (Renewing Communities initiative).  This investment will be managed across the schemes making up the programme.
